Rule 123
Governs the conduct of trial and procedure specifically before first-level courts (MTC/MCTC/MeTC), including simplified procedures consistent with the summary nature of many cases falling within their jurisdiction.
Rule 125 PROCEDURE IN THE SUPREME COURT
Governs criminal appeals and original actions before the Supreme Court, including the general rule that appeals from the CA are by petition for review on certiorari under Rule 45 (questions of law only), except automatic/certified review of death-reclusion perpetua-life imprisonment cases, which the SC still reviews on both facts and law after CA disposition.
